Annie's Fundraiser 2022
I started this Go Fund Me last year for our lovely friend Annie Iles to help her realise a few of her bucket list dreams.
She has suffered some terrible set backs in health. Sadly in June last year, Annie last her Dad. She’s hadn’t been feeling well in the run up to this, but it was put down to the stress and upset of knowing she was going to lose her dear Dad. The day after he passed away, she presented at hospital for her treatment. The next thing any of us knew was that Annie has collapsed and the crash team had been called. She had gone into a diabetic ketoacidosis coma. The treatment had caused her to develop type one diabetics, which, at that time, no one know. Just 36 hours after her father had passed away, Rich received a devastating phone call for the hospital to say that it looked unlikely Annie would make the night. But Annie, being Annie was not done with this world and she showed us just how much of a fighter she is and after a stay in intensive care, once they had managed to stabilize her blood sugar levels. Annie came back round.
She now has to inject herself 4 times a day to maintain her sugar levels.
But despite all this stress Annie is still looking forward and still the amazing positive person we all love. She has finally been able to book her dream trip to America in April and is busy planning lots of exciting adventures for the coming months.
I am renewing her Go Fund Me appeal to help realise these plans as quickly as possible.
You were all so incredibly generous that she was able to meet her previous target, so I have set a new goal of £5000 to allow her to book a few extras that she would like to do.

At the beginning of August 2020 Annie and her husband Rich's life was rocked by devastating news. Annie had cancer. Worse news was to follow when scans revealed that the cancer was widespread and Stage 4 terminal.
Annie has started treatment immediately and will continue to fight for as long as possible. This will include a full hip replacement, numerous operations, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and all other holistic treatments available.
Annie and Rich are hopeful of a few more years of fun together and Annie has drawn up a list of dreams and wishes she would like to fulfil once her health allows it.
This Go Fund Me is to help Annie fulfil her dreams. The money will go directly to her to help pay for her trips, flights, insurances etc.
She understands that money is not always going spare so if you cannot afford to donate please share her story to raise awareness.
