Kole was a giver, and we have set up this Go Fund Me Page to do just that! The money raised will go towards helping addicts get the financial assistance needed to get into a treatment program. Most of these programs are very expensive and not everyone has insurance or the means to seek help. We are striving towards being able to help relieve the financial burden on the individual or family.
On Friday August 21, 2020, Kole Clifford Hancock, loving son and big brother, passed away after losing a battle with addiction at the young age of 19.
Kole was born on March 18, 2001 in Houston, TX. He was the first born to Matthew and Kristi (Richards) Hancock. He became Bi-Lingual in English and Spanish in his early elementary years. At young age he developed a passion and great talent for sports. He spent many seasons playing baseball and developing his talent with his Papa Eddie. His Jr. High years were completed at Grace Christian Academy. At Grace, he excelled in football for the “Eagles”. He played there for Coach Kevin Roman and “Coach” became his mentor and role model until the coach’s untimely death. This event became one of Kole’s first tests of faith. It was then he learned to rely on Christ to pull him through any crisis. He earned and was awarded the MVP in the 2014-2015 season. As an 8th and 9th grade student Kole successful completed 12 college credit hours at San Jacinto College. Kole developed a love for computer technology and graphic design at an early age. In his early teens, he launched various on-line businesses and become an entrepreneur. Kole eventually went on to work for his grandfather's company, Crossroads Autoplex. He became the primary engineer and developer of the Autoplex’s website, and was able to see through completion when it officially launched last week. Kole was so happy and proud of this accomplishment.
Kole and his family attended Grace Community Church with Pastor Steve Riggle. It was at Grace where he was dedicated to Christ as an infant. Kole professed his faith at a very young age and actively practiced his beliefs. He journaled and shared his testimony to family, friends and strangers about the struggles, successes and the impact his faith made on his life and those around him.
Kole was known for being a quick witted prankster, always trying to get a smile out of you. His infectious smile could light up a room and his compassionate spirt could inspire anyone! He had the biggest heart full of love and always looked for ways to help people. His three true loves were his mom Kristi and his grandmother’s Dianna and Sue. Kole had a passion for music and wanted to share that with everyone. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding his BMX bike with his best friend and dad, Matt. Kole and his sisters Makaylee and Kyla, had an obsession for loud music, Chick-Fil-A nuggets, and arguing about the type of clothing the girls wore. Just by looking at the three of them you knew that he was a true “Bubba” in every aspect of their lives.
We lost Kole to a bitter and unforgiving disease, but we know that the gates of heaven opened to welcome him and he has been reunited with his beloved coach Kevin Roman and is now resting in the arms of Jesus Christ.
Kole is survived by his parents Matthew and Kristi Hancock; his sisters Makaylee and Kyla; grandparents Eddie and Dianna Richards, Sue Marion, Timothy Marion, Rodney and Margret Hancock; great grandparents Barbara Rogers, Charles E. Richards, and Larry and Esther Harris. Also included are many aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends.
Visitation and services will be held at Grace Christian Academy located at 14325 Crescent Landing Drive Houston, TX 77062, on Friday, August 28, 2020. The Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. followed by the church service starting at 10:00 a.m. Officiated by Pastor Steve Riggle and Pastor Garrett Booth. The Family wishes to show their gratitude to Ms. Marta Wisnoski and the Coppock Family for their support during this time. In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a Go Fund Me account to help others in need of financial support who are seeking recovery assistance. The family requests casual attire and if guests so choose feel free wear Kole’s favorite color blue.
