Joe Fortune's Burial/Medical Help
Donation protected
I'm a very good friend of the Fortune family. I started this with all of their information to help raise funds for Joe Fortune's medical bills and burial expenses.
Lisa has been married to her sweetheart Joe for 34 years. They have been together every day as both best friends and lovers. Their son Joey, born in 1983,whom Joe loves so much also prays for any help available for his father.
Joe has recently been through Hell! He was diagnosed with endstage liver disease. He is losing ground fast and will soon leave this world for a better and kinder one.
Joe bled through his esophagus and had to have 28 viens tied. He has had at least 11 blood transfusions. He was the resident pin cushion for most of his fight. He has been at Northwestern Hospital ten times between November 2015 and March 2016. He was having procedures done for hours and hours each day using contrast running through his kidneys. This had him on 24 hour a day dialysis. There is no moving or getting up during these life altering treatments.
He has at this time prayed and begged for God to take him . He is in a very bad place. He was recently told that he will not make it to the time it takes to receive a liver transplant. They are now at Cleveland Clinic where he has impacted all the people he has touched.
Joe has always sang Lisa the song, "you are my sunshine" tears run down Lisa's face...."please don't take my sunshine away"
This family has no insurance! They are in the process of bringing him home to be close to family and friends as Joe prepares to be called home to God! Joe has to be airlifted back to Northwestern in Chicago because its much safeer due to his condition. This alone will cost Lisa between 6 and 7 thousand dollars. From there she is hoping to bring Joe home for hospice. This is an amazing family and truly needs help in Joe's burial and medical expenses.
I am just a friend who went to social media a year and a half ago to find a living donor kidney transplant! I'm now trying to help a family truly in need to help give a very well deserved man the burial He deserves! Please help in any amount possible. Every penney will help lift the weight of more debt to the Fortune family. I thank you in advance for the blessing of a donation to Lisa!
