Help Ryan Dodd Fight Leukemia

This week, Ryan, Kirbie, and Oliver’s lives were changed completely when Ryan received the heartbreaking news that he was diagnosed with Leukemia.  This is a very serious disease but Ryan is at one of the best hospitals in the country.  He has a great team caring for him in addition the love and support of their parents.  Due to the high susceptibility to infection, one of the hardest parts about this for Ryan is that his 1 year old son, Oliver, is not able to visit during these weeks of inpatient care.  This is also harder for Kirbie since she can’t be in two places at once.  Everyone that knows Ryan has experienced his thoughtfulness, love, and respect for everyone that he encounters.  As is typical of his selflessness, he’s been extremely optimistic and positive through this unsettling journey.


As friends and family are learning this news and thinking of all of the wonderful memories that they’ve shared with Ryan, many are asking what they can do to help.  On top of the expected medical bills, Ryan is unable to work and Kirbie will be by his side during treatment.  For those that are able, we are asking on their behalf to help support them in any way possible.  No matter how large or small, your individual gift can make a real impact and give them one less thing to worry about during this trying time.  All money raised will go directly to Ryan and his family to help with medical bills in addition to their normal expenses.  


If this is the first you’re hearing about this, please understand that Ryan and Kirbie are still in the very early stages of processing everything.  They need to be focused on understanding this illness and Ryan’s treatment plan.  Thoughts and prayers would be very much appreciated.
