Our fellow co-worker, charge nurse and friend at UTHET-Long-Term Acute Care, Joey Featherston, lost his beloved mother, Chris Featherston, in the early hours of August 21, 2020. Chris was a hardworking, caring, and dedicated woman. She was a registered nurse and chose to serve others in her career. This legacy was passed to her youngest son, Joey. Chris was a dreamer. She dreamed of being able to travel to various places and meet new friends. She was the family's hub. Calling her closest friends and family frequently and chatting for hours on end. Chris was a warrior. After a long and hard battle with a chronic debilitating illness, and undergoing a double transplant--she finished her battle, and now she can finally rest in peace. Joey was a constant support, caregiver, and advocate for his mother. Being a faithful son, he NEVER left her side during these trying times.
