We rescued a family of 5, dumped on a busy back country road, about to be hit by oncoming traffic. Mom and 4 young daughters.
Their condition was horrifying. Mom’s spine and ribs were showing, no milk from being malnourished. The pups were skinny with bloated bellies full of worms. They were starving and dehydrated.
We have had them for a month. We wanted them to feel safe and loved, get them used to other dogs, train them to urinate on puppy pads, also to use the outside and leash train.
Most importantly, before adopting them out, we wanted to make sure they had all their shots, deworming, heartworm prevention, flea/tick prevention, to be spayed and for Mom to have her rabies and heartworm test.
We were given a sizable donation that covered the first round of everything they needed. Thank you @tracketpacer Instagram
We are now needing help with the next round of shots, monthly flea/heart prevention and the spays.
Sadly, Mom has tested positive for heartworms and we are committed to putting her through the treatment and caring for her needs before adopting her to someone. She also needs dental cleaning, possible extraction, because whatever she was eating to survive has caused her back molars to erode, giving her terrible pain. Both these procedures are extremely costly.
We and the “Fantastic 5” are reaching out for help. Any amount of donation would be appreciated and only used towards the 2nd round of vaccinations, spays, Mom’s heartworm treatment and dental cleaning, food, supplements and toys.
The “Fantastic 5” are black lab, retriever and border collie mix. They are love bugs and full of joyful play. Love to give endless cuddles, hugs and kisses.
