NOT GIVING UP!

Hi , my name is Debi Lystila Linder from Effingham,IL I was diognosed with Cystic Fibrosis at bith . I am a proud and grateful recipient of a double lung transplant 21 years ago . thanks to constant contact with my transplant team every three months I have enjoyed a relatively healthy , productive and independent life . Circumstances changed in 2020 and even my doctors were baffled . Episodes of extreme pain and discomfort in the sternum/stomach region have caused me to miss work at Walmart . Instead I was shuffled between Effingham St Anthony ER and Barnes Jewish Hospital in St . Louis , MO .Over the past 6 months x-rays , NG tubes, CT Scans , EDG scope procedures were done which involed hospital admissions at Banes Jewish Hospital. Various diagnoses included : ulcers , stress , lesions on intestines and ultimately a twisted bowel and a hernia . Thankfullly surgery to repair the twisted bowel and hernia was performed August 14, 2020 .I am at home recuperating and my husband Terry has done his best to work in addition to taking care of me for the last 6 months . Neither one of us find it easy to ask for financial assistance but our combined lost wages have made it difficult to meet living expenses as well cover medical expenses , specialized diet and transportion expenses to doctors in St . Louis,MO .My goal is to return to my job, to enjoy my friends and family once again and to have the chance to help others in need when I am able . With your generosity I can concentrate on restoring my health and reaching my goals . Thank You
