My mother's myelopathy surgery

Donation protected
Hello everyone. I will start this off by saying this is very hard for me to ask. Ive never been the kind of person to ask for money or anything like that but I’m desperately asking for help. My mother doesn’t want to do this either because she didn’t like getting “handouts” but she has always put others before herself. She has always helped people that she didn’t know and never once expect anything in return so I believe that she deserves a chance in life. I know this is a lot to ask for...especially with what we are going through this year, so I don’t expect anyone to donate a crazy amount. I would be thankful for anything, it will be a step closer to helping my mother. So here is her story: My mother has been in a lot of pain these past few years and it’s only getting worst. My mother recently found out that she has Myelopathy disease. Myelopathy disease is a condition caused by compression on the spinal cord. My mom’s condition is so bad that the disease is close her brain stem and down her spinal cord which is why this surgery is very serious. If she keeps waiting to get her surgery then she’ll be paralyzed or even worst... her spine is crushing and is shooting pain through all of her nerves. It kills me to see her in this much pain. The problem we are coming across is that the local doctors are not confident enough to perform the surgery on my mother, just because of how serious and risky it is. My mother needs a confident and well experienced surgeon to perform this type of surgery. My mom did a lot of research and meetings and has found the one that she feels confident in but there’s a problem. The total cost of the surgery will be $200,000. Insurance can cover most of the expenses except for the doctor because since he is a out of network doctor, he wants $25,000 up front which is something we don’t have (she’s supposed to have the surgery in October). My mother’s hope of having a better life has fallen. She has sacrificed so much for me and my brothers. As a single mother, she has worked 3 to 4 jobs at a time just to be able to take care of us and give us everything we needed. She deserves to live her life and to be able to enjoy all the nice things in life. She’s my hero and I can’t lose her now. I understand that everyone won’t be able to donate but I’ll be so grateful if you can share this and spread the word. Thank you so much.
