24 Miles in 24 Hours Respond to Racism Fundraiser

Donation protected
Hi! My name is Jackson Rigney and I am an incoming freshman at Lake Oswego High School.  A few weeks ago, my friend Zach Rooney and I came up with the idea to run 24 miles in 24 hours as a challenge to compete against each other.  I loved the idea, but I thought that it would have more meaning if we were running for a cause.  As we all know, racism is an extremely prevalent issue in America right now.  With everything happening right now, I feel the need to do something about it.  I wanted to find a local non-profit that fights against racism in my community.  The non-profit that I found is called Respond to Racism LO.   As stated on the website, their mission is "to educate and empower Lake Oswego residents and institutions with the tools to combat racism in all its forms and make LO — and Oregon — a better place to live for residents of all races and ethnicities."  I am going to be running on Friday, August 28 beginning at 1 pm and ending at 1 pm the next day.  You can either choose how much you want to donate freely or donate based on how many miles you want to fund.

100% of donations go to the organization!
