My name is Kody Kuehnast and I am a 2nd Year student at Cal State Long Beach studying Music Education. June 12th and 13th, I will be endeavoring on a 24 hour cycling tour of Southern California. The route takes me from Long Beach to Azusa down to Newport, up to Yorba Linda, back down to Newport, and then finally to San Diego and back. My goal was to turn this ride into a “bike-a-thon” style fundraiser, to collect donations to donate to the Music for All Foundation, a non-profit with the aim of providing instruments, supplies, and support to music programs, and also to help fund my CSULB 2020-2021 tuition. The donations collected will be split evenly between them. The route is 350 miles, and has 10,000 feet of elevation gain. I will be riding with multiple friends who have all planned to take shifts with me. A fun way to donate is to do it by mile! Any small bit helps, and I will be making this donation in honor of my high school band director, Mr. Plunkett, who has been a role model, and guiding force leading me to my schooling decision today.
