24 Hour Run for Hope in 2022!

Shriner's Hospital For Children...Crohn's & Colitis Foundation...Dementia Care...running. These are my passions.

 

On October 8, 2022, I will combine these passions into something I never thought possible. I will run for 24 hours to raise awareness and funds for these 3 incredible causes!

 

YES! I am doing it again! 2020 was an amazing experience and incredibly humbling! But, I have more to give...I have more to run...I have more to raise! In 2020, I ran 87 miles and raised almost $20,000 because of so many generous donors. Since I ran those 87 miles, the longest I have run is 16 miles. Even though I run every day, I will need to train my body and mind to run that long for that amount of time again. Plus, I'm 2 years older :)

 

Why 24 hours? Every child who has been treated at Shriner's Hospital for Children deals with their condition 24/7. Every person affected by Crohn's or Colitis deal with it 24/7. Every elder impacted by Alzheimer's and other forms of Dementia deal with it 24/7. So, I will run for 24 hours in honor of each and every one of them!

 

My hope is to raise awareness at least 24,000!

 

With big challenges require big risks. I am willing to suffer hoping to slow and end the suffering by the kids, adults, and elders affected by such debilitating diseases.
