24 Hour Challenge for Arthritis Foundation

My name is Scott Thompson, a student at San Jose State University and a member of the Delta Sigma Phi Fraternity. Saul Schrader was a young intelligent brother who was deeply loved so much by his community at SJSU especially by his brothers at Delta Sigma Phi. Unfortunately Saul passed away at the age of 20 in November of 2021. He suffered from arthritis from a very young age that made it very challenging for his body. Our brother Saul is one of many young people in the United States that suffered from juvenile arthritis which brings us to the purpose of this fundraiser. Myself and a few others from my fraternity as well as others in the community are taking on the 24 hour running challenge on February 4th - 5th to raise money for the Arthritis Foundation that is a research organisation that helps find cures to treat specifically juvenile arthritis in young children in the U.S. This 24 hour running challenge will consist of us running 3.1 miles (5km) every 4 hours for 24 hours in the hope of spreading awareness about this cause. Our route will be taking place around the SJSU campus in San Jose CA. We will run at 7 different times throughout this 24 hour period which starting on Friday February 4th at 6pm, 10pm, February 5th at 2am, 6am, 10am, 2pm, and 6pm. We are very passionate about wanting to make an impact and pay tribute to our brother Saul and all the young children/people who suffer from this disease. Any support is gladly appreciated.
