Hello,
Over the last thirteen years I have experienced a series of unfortunate medical problems. At twelve I was diagnosed with bone cancer. I’ve had several surgeries since then and tomorrow (7/19/18) I will be having my seventh surgery. All were a result of the bone cancer thirteen years ago.
I had major reconstructive leg surgery ten months ago to correct my metal rod in my leg as it started to fall apart. Recently I developed an infection. Yesterday (7/17/18) I had surgery to correct the infection and see the extent of the infection. It was concluded the infection goes all the way down into my bone and metal pieces I had added 10 months ago. I have no other choice but for the doctors to remove my total femur/knee replacement and put a whole new metal rod in otherwise the infection could take my leg.
As I just had surgery ten months ago I am still drowning in medical debt. I owe over $11,000 from previous surgery and treatments. Now I will have to be out of work for at least a few weeks and will be on short term disability. Short term disability only pays a small percentage of my salary. I am still trying to climb out of debt from the last surgery and am going to need more help as will now be having even more medical bills from this hospital stay, treatment and surgery.
I hate to ask for help again, but my health has become out of my control. I need any help I can get as I manage having back to back surgeries this week and my recovery over the next few weeks. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Jeff Zumbek
