About me:
My name is Autumn and I'm a 22 year old California native. I'm excited by travel and passionate about art and photography. I'm your average 20-something running off coffee and tacos while listening to Lemonade.
About my campaign:
I rang in the new year like others prepared for 2016 goals while drinking champagne, but I didn't know it would be the beginning of some frustrating medical issues. I had random bursts of pelvic and lower back pain that quickly turned into pretty constant excruciating pain. In February my first overnight hospital stay luckily gave some answers. A dual diagnosis of Pelvic inflammatory disease and a large dermoid tumor on my right ovary (my dermoid has been watched on multiple images and is benign) and a partially ruptured complex bilateral cyst on my left. My combined conditions caused a "catch-22" situation and I was unable to have removal surgery until the PID was controlled for risk of blood poisoning. After several weeks of treatment (body failed and re-tried) I'm in the clear for surgery! I'm so lucky to have insurance and thus far other than the bills I have been ignoring like student loans (ha) everything has been manageable. The surgery I'm wanting and needing, is a laparoscopic procedure and the least invasive to my reproductive organs.
What I'm asking: The amount above is a goal that I will continue to strive to reach myself, and reflects the out of pocket cost and a few of the more important bills I've accumulated since the diagnosis. ( The amount of appointments, hospital visits and pain have all been very time consuming) If you have anything to spare I would be so appreciative and would love for you to personally text or pm me your address so I can send a hand written thank you!
My hopes: I'm looking forward to the tumor removal and a pain free life again, this all has drastically taken a toll on both my social life and mental well being; I also hope that this specific procedure will give me my greatest chance at conceiving in the later future. One of my earliest memories was with my grandmother and I had set my baby doll on her lap for her to "babysit". I then went to my room for no more than a second and would rush back out because I had missed my baby so much ha. Needless to say my fertility is so important to me, and while this all came at a time with a low savings account, it hopefully will be something in my past soon.
