my name is eliza and i’m a 20 year old gender queer creative who recently got kicked out of an extremely abusive home. i live with my dad who is extremely emotionally abusive and aggressive towards me and i’ve been trying to save up to move out of the home and outside of los angeles where rent is affordable. next year i’m moving to chicago with roommates, but in the mean time i’m gonna need a little bit of financial support because i really have nowhere to call home at this point. i make $12/hour and realistically i couldn’t even support myself on that, let alone save up to get my own place. my dad constantly makes homophobic and transphobic comments towards me to and it truly does not matter what or who he is angry at, i have been his scape goat for most of my life and when he told me to get out of his house, i really was out with my belongings within the hour. i’m at an extreme breaking point. i have never been able to trust or count on my dad but now he has left me with nothing. Any money i receive now will immediately go towards me finding safe housing during the COVID pandemic, so i can continue to save and actually have a brand new start in a new city as i’ve been planning on doing. I am 20 years old and I really want to be able to let go of all of this trauma i’ve been harboring as a result of my upbringing and consistent abuse. I genuinely have no plan because this has all happened so quickly, but I don’t know what else to do, but ask for help financially. Please reach out to me if you can give me any support or guidance.
