On Monday, August 17th, 2020, Gabrielle Perez’s life was taken too soon. She was a loving Mother, Daughter, Sister, Friend and many other things to people near and dear to her. She had a strong presents in the world and let people know what she felt and always was honest, though at times struck a hard place. The morning of August 17th, around 12:00 AM, Gabby and a friend were going to the store to get ice. Gabby waited in her Jeep Cherokee on Blue Bird Avenue Facing Snyder Ave, as her friend ran inside to grab a shirt. Gabby was sitting in the drivers seat and a male friend was talking to her through the passenger side window. They noticed a man with shoulder length hair walking from the other side of the street and asked each other if either one, recognized the male subject. Unexpectedly, the male subject proceeded to unload fire onto the vehicle and struck Gabby once in the head, striking the vehicle 8 times. The male friend talking to gabby, was not struck, as he hid behind the car and crouched down to run into the garage. When the bullets stopped, the female friend getting a shirt inside the house ran to Gabby’s aide. The gunmen slipped into the night and simply walked away from the scene, heading south down Blue Bird towards Snyder Avenue. Her friend drove to the mothers house, right down the street and the family was awoken to a loud bang at the screen door and cries that “GABBY’s BEEN SHOT!”. Around 12:10 AM Gabby’s mother, was woken up to the news that she would have to face when she got in the car and drove back to the scene with the friend. She tried to wake her as paramedics were on their way. Gabby past away too soon, too young and with too many memories left to make with her two daughters. We are creating a Gofundme to support her daughters in this devastating occurrence. Any amount would be greatly appreciated or sharing this post to your social media would be appreciated as well. Please also feel free to send positive thoughts and prayers to the family in this trying time. Thank you for your taking time to read this.
