Our sweet little girl has become very, very ill and our world has been flipped entirely upside down in one night. Luna was emitted to Red Bank Emergency Hospital late Wednesday night. She has a fever of 105, her heart was racing two times the normal rate, she was drooling uncontrollably and crashing into the walls of our home. Scared to death we raced her to the only emergency vet we knew where she was emitted. She is being treated for Meningitis. She hasn’t eaten or drank anything in two days now and is just sleeping. She is hooked up to an IV that is providing her with fluids, pumping her with steroids and antibiotics, helping her to try and fight this crazy disease. We are so heartbroken and hate to see our sweet, loving pup in such a traumatic state. We wouldn’t normally reach out for help but unfortunately the only thing on our side is time. We are hoping in time and with constant IV treatment our little girl will be able to beat this. With time and treatment comes extremely high cost. We aren’t even 24 hours into this and have already spent 6,000 dollars. For each night she spends at the hospital, which is unable to return home just yet because of how critical her state is , is 1400 dollars, not including the medicine that she is receiving. For those of you that know both Damian and I, you know our dogs are our world. I can not imagine loosing my Luna after only a year and half. Any little bit helps and is greatly appreciated.
