Her gait is unforgettable and with a single stare, you would sit up and resume paying attention to the topic at hand. This was the power of Miss Sheila Barrett, otherwise known as Miss B.
Miss B devoted nearly 4 decades to our beloved Campion, an invaluable contribution which has helped to make it one of the greatest high schools in Jamaica. Having helped thousands of students either as a teacher or in her role as Dean of Discipline and Dean of Studies, Miss. B has helped to enrich and foster the leaders of the world. A stern disciplinarian and skilled teacher, many quaked in their shoes after a “talk” with her. Now they attribute much of their success to her stewardship.
As many of us are already aware, Miss B currently suffers from renal failure due to Hypertension; she goes to dialysis twice per week which costs up to $82,000 (US$656) per month. Up until last year; the school was able to support her with approx. JA$50,000 (US$400) monthly from proceeds of a previous fundraiser held over a decade ago. however these resources have since been depleted and she is now in need of your support.
This is where we, the past and present students, must step up to ensure that one of the most exemplary individuals of our Campion family has the means to continue her dialysis.
The goal is to raise enough money for her to complete her dialysis for the year. The target is JA$1,000,000 (US$9,000).
All contributions to this campaign will go towards that cause.
