Chalut-Sweet Family: a Covid Christmas Story

Covid wasn’t on our Christmas list this year!! Knox and Nora were unexpectedly diagnosed with covid, with myself and Owen to follow. As a result I’ll have to be out of work for two weeks to help keep our community safe from COVID until the kids and I are no longer considered contagious. Anyone who knows me knows I hardly ever ask for help, but I’m at a total loss! It’s just me and the kids here, and most of my savings were depleted when I was unable to work while the kids were still distance learning. There’s absolutely no way for us to go two weeks without pay, and as you can imagine after two years in a pandemic, most local rent relief resources are tapped out! With Christmas so close and bills that wont wait until my paycheck in January, I would appreciate any amount of help this holiday season to get through. I absolutely cannot wait until the kids are well and I can get back to my patients at work!
