I'm JoAne Fairchild. My Japanese friend, Teruko, is from Kyushu. Her family and extended family have all lost their homes and almost everything they owned from the recent earthquake that devastated the island.

They are now living in a temporary government shelter. They are given food and water daily. They are staying positive and hoping to rebuild their lives soon but they are not sure when and how they will be able to. Life hasn't been easy, and, at times, very challenging for them but they are managing.

This page is set up not only to raise funds for them, but more importantly, to:
1) raise their hopes up
2) build their confidence
3) increase their morale
4) lift their spirit
5) boost their optimism

100% of the funds raised here will go directly to Teruko's family and her extended family.
