I am a single mother with 4 children at home, diagnosed with Stage 3 Uterine Cancer in August 2025. My treatment plan consists of a total hysterectomy, which I had in September, followed by 3 rounds of chemotherapy, 28 days of radiation, followed by another 3 cycles of chemotherapy. I have no short term disability insurance. My long term disability will not start until March. I have been able to work and take care of my children without problem until now. I have not worked since September and cannot work due to side effects of treatments. I have only received $200 in child support since July 2025.
