NB Family Skoolie Conversion

Hey y’all.... It’s with really heavy thumbs that I type this up on my phone. If y’all know my family (Maya, Milo, Mars, Zion and Niko) and I or have helped us in the past, you’ll know that for the last 2, almost 3 years we have been STRUGGLING with housing. Like living w folk, living in our car, moving to AZ for failed job prospects, living with our abusive and toxic families, etc..... All while battling addiction, mental illness and shit! Not saying that we are special...we are just tired and had low key given up on ever getting a spot...We are SURVIVING, that is of our essence, but def not living. The only people who deserve this are Maya and I because we are the adults, but our babies and dogs don’t deserve the instability of homelessness. Our kids are safe, don’t worry. Maya and the kids stay at their Grandparents and I stay outside, in our family car. Because of Y’ALL and the incredible amount of support shown out of NOWHERE, we have been able to BUY a $2,700 2006 Thomas Freightliner School bus and are going to convert it to a home...A HOME, y’all... We don’t know the EXACT build cost, but we do know it’ll be around $10,000. Our goal is to scrap and go to junkyards and look for the most inexpensive things we can find, but we also want our home to last. (Ha, our home....wow...) The funds would go towards things like: Tools we can’t borrow. Appliances (stovetop, fridge, toilet, shower, etc) Utilities (piping, solar, lumber, etc) And probs, like, idk maybe food or something if we don’t have money for that? This can, could and IS changing the course of my family’s life. My traveling doula practice can actually begin, we can focus on our jewelry business, because our materials won’t be scattered in multiple homes, cars...We can homeschool our kids (cuz we have a HOME....lol)...We can focus on our healing and REALLY find peace within this life...at least I hope. We are grateful for the lot of y’all that chipped away at my fears and helped me get this GoFundMe started. I love y’all and no matter what, stay blessed
