***Update: On October 3rd, Jackson was released from the hospital. His family was then referred to hospice. Though his prognosis was grim and status listed terminal, (Methodist Children's Hospital felt they could no longer treat his cancer), hospice took one look at Jackson and his lively spirit and immediately admitted that they did not see a need for their services quite yet. The family has since chosen to forgo hospice and explore other options. They decided on Eastern medicine. Currently Jacky is undergoing treatment with Dr. Park, an esteemed acupuncturist and Dr of Oriental medicine based out of Dallas Texas. Since being released into his parents care and since beginning treatment with Dr. Park, he has gotten stronger daily. Best of all he was able to celebrate Halloween!!! as most realize by now, this is something that we feared would never happen. It's difficult to revisit those thoughts, but important that you know how crucial your help and support have been in getting Jackson to this point. We are so grateful We are moving forward. Currently, we need help funding his 2nd month of treatment, with Dr.Park, plus the cost of short term housing in Dallas. This treatment is keeping him stable and keeping him strong. We strongly feel that the work that Dr.Park is doing, is allowing Jackson time here with us. Though this may not save him from Wilms, this is the plan until we hear that he's ready for the next course of action. Please share and tag the gofundme account. We need the visibility. We need the shares and we really appreciate you all and can't say thank you, enough. Please help us get Jacky to Thanksgiving! http://gf.me/u/yq9jhc@love4jackson on Fb @awarrioratbattle on Instagram #jacksonsjourney #awarrioratbattle #wilmstumor #GoJacksonGo #supportforjackson #mrincredible #operationexhausteveryeffort #amoratodashoras8/2020Jackson Jude age 6, was admitted to Methodist Children's Hospital, after a 3rd major relapse with Wilms Tumor. This has been the most devastating reoccurrance to date as it becomes more and more difficult to treat Jackson with each relapse. His parents were faced with a decision to forgo treatment or fight. His family has chosen to fight. After being emergently admitted to the hospital and immediately undergoing a very aggressive round of chemotherapy, little Jackson is holding strong and making small improvements every day. His parents have now returned to an all too familiar setting and have since resumed hospital living.I am asking for your support in helping this family so that they can focus on their little boy's health. He completed the first round of chemotherapy a few days ago, which makes his immune system basically non-existent. This also puts him at risk of contracting many things, including Covid19. They will not be leaving Jackson's side at this time. The reality that he is fighting this courageous battle during a dangerous pandemic, solidifies the plan to stay in the hospital unless switching out. This also means they will be out of work, indefinitely. Sadly, only one parent is allowed with Jacky at a time due to restrictions and he will not be able to see his 2 sisters. Please send strength and healing thoughts to this family so they know they are not alone. All money raised, will go to bills and expenses that will help keep them afloat and ensure they have a place to come home to. Thank you for supporting them during this unimaginable time.
