Young Mr. Miller’s Mental Health Recovery Fund

Hello and thanks for taking time to consider helping us. This is a fund to help raise funds to send my best friend’s 17 year old son to a residential treatment center for intensive depression treatment. He needs more help than his mom and I are equipped to handle. Today I saw a side of him that only his mother had witnessed for sometime now. He revealed to me his raw pain and the true depth of his depression. To see this child suffering so intensely that he wishes to die broke my heart. To see the evidence of his self harm and scars of self mutilation inspired me to make this account. His mom and I have been friends for over twenty years, and he was the first newborn I had ever held. He instantly won my heart! It is with extreme anguish that I write to you all for help. Today my actions lead to a bad reaction and I feared we were facing the worst. Thanks to many prayers from across the globe, he returned to his mom, in good health, after taking a handful of sleeping pills and running out of the house. I am eternally grateful to have been given this wake up call about the suffering of a child I love with all my heart, and plead that you help us get him the help he desperately needs. Mental Health of children during these hard times is really a dramatic side effect of Covid-19. Please give what you can. My heart just hurts to not be able to afford him the proper care and attention he so desperately needs. Thank you to the all mighty higher power of Love for bringing him home safe and sound!
