Jorge Cabrera Medical Expenses
Donation protected
On August 12th, Officer Jorge Cabrera was placed on a ventilator for Covid-19 related pneumonia and is fighting for his life. His kidneys are not working properly and was placed on dialysis and receiving treatment for respiratory acidosis. As a First Responder, they are at the front lines of everything and anything and they risk their lives for us. Many of his fellow Police Officers have gotten infected with the Covid-19 virus and have recovered. Our prayers is that Officer Cabrera my Nephew survives this virus too. Officer Cabrera has been a police officer for 12 years. He works for the Mission Police Department as a traffic investigator. He lives to help his community and fellow officers. Officer Cabrera is a God-fearing Christian who is always ready and available to help anyone in need. He teaches Sunday school at First Baptist Church in McAllen,Tx.
Officer Cabrera, along with wife Amy and their three amazing children- Amber, Elijah and Madeleine, have recently entered into adoption proceedings. They will be adopting a child with down syndrome and are hoping to receive their newborn adopted baby into their loving home very soon. Officer Cabrera is fighting very hard for his life, and the ICU team is doing everything they can for him. He is in God's hands, and we strongly believe in the power of prayer.
We are asking that you join us in prayer for Officer Cabrera’s full recovery. We are also asking for any support you may provide this wonderful family while they are going through this battle. We want everyone to believe that this virus is REAL and taking lives. And though we are getting closer to finding a vaccine, we are not there yet and we all need to be doing our part to stop the spread by following simple steps like the social distancing, wearing face masks and washing our hands. We want to thank you beforehand for your prayers and support.
