Stephanie's Medical Bill Assistance

Hello Everyone,
On May 2, 2016 my daughter, Stephanie Mattonen Nemitz, had a severe asthma attack and allergic reaction. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital in Shakopee, MN. She had respiratory cardiac arrest, which resulted in her heart to stop beating for approximately 15 minutes, CPR was performed. Once the ambulance arrived at the hospital she was then airlifted by helicopter to Hennepin County Medical Center. She has been at HCMC since then, which has developed into high medical expenses for her and her family.
Stephanie is married with two children. She has been employed as a Certified Pharmacy Technician, which she will be off from work from sometime and hopefully will be able to return back to work.
When something like this happens to a loved one, our first instinct is to want to help in any way. Her medical bills are sure to be at a high expense, not to mention the time away from work for her and her husband have had and what this will do to their finances. Knowing what lies ahead of them, the best way we can think on helping Stephanie and her family is to start this Go Fund Me campaign. Any little bit that you can give will go directly to Stephanie's Go Find Me account. This will help as she works her way back to the caring, loving woman we all know and love.
Stephanie had been heavily sedated for a few days, the doctors at HCMC were evaluating her daily for the next steps to be taken and keeping her husband and family updated on her progress.
Once Stephanie started to awake from being sedated, she was able to talk and recognize family and friends voices, but unable to focus on each individual.
Throughout the week Stephanie has shown much improvement, which resulted in her being moved out of ICU to Cardic Rehab and now to Inpatient Rehab. Stephanie is able to walk, with some assistance and able eat regular foods and her vision is improving. She is working on her motor skills, but she has some trembling, which causes difficult in writing. The good news is that Stephanie is still herself, a fighter and determined to fight this to the end! Stephanie has a long battle ahead of her, along with many medical expenses that her and her family will be dealing with. All the messages of prayers, support and love that have been sent by you through social media is keeping Stephanie very busy reading ... Good Rehab!
Stephanie Mattonen Nemitz and her family would like to send out a BIG THANK YOU to Hennepin County Medical Center doctors, nurses and assistants for their continued outstanding performance on taking care of her and keeping the family informed on every step taken.
We also would like to take a moment to THANK YOU all for your tremendous outpouring of love, prayers and support. Every day I read more and more, on social media, the love and support we receive from all of you.
Please continue on sending prayers, love and support for Stephanie Mattonen Nemitz; my daughter, Nate’s wife, Caitlin and Jackson’s mom, granddaughter, sister, daughter/sister-in-law, niece, cousin, friend, etc.
I will try my best to provide weekly updates on Stephanie’s progress.
Thank you ~ Stephanie’s mom, Liz
