Help Henry Fight for His Life

On April 4, my family rushed our sweet dog Henry to the ER after days of vomiting and refusing to eat. What we thought was a reaction to his new medication turned out to be something much more serious. His blood sugar and glucose levels were dangerously high, and the vets said he needed emergency hospitalization — or we’d have to say goodbye. My parents made the incredibly difficult choice to give Henry a fighting chance, asking for only the bare minimum of care to try and save his life without going bankrupt. Over 2.5 days, the bills totaled over $6,000, and we’ve now spent well over $10,000 as he continues receiving treatment for pancreatitis and managing his low & high blood sugar levels with a glucose monitor and insulin. I’ve even dipped into my 401K to help. Thankfully, he pulled through and is still with us today, but it’s been financially devastating for my family.
