Ann Donkin's Medical Fund
Donation protected
Ann Donkin is the type of person you call when you need help – she will drop what she’s doing to do whatever she can to help. Now, it is our turn to return the favor. On March 1, Ann had her first of two surgeries, which included removal of a cyst/tumor (which was very large), a complete hysterectomy, and removal of her appendix. Follow up testing revealed that Ann had metastatic appendiceal carcinoma, a rare and scary form of cancer.
Ann then had another extensive and complicated surgery on May 2nd, which included HIPEC (heated chemo administered during surgery). Ann is home and healing, and after an eight-week recovery, she'll begin a challenging six-month protocol of chemo every two weeks.
Ann works as an independent contractor, and has not been able to work regularly for months, and it may be quite a while before she is able to do so. The portion of the extensive medical intervention not covered by insurance will quickly add up and she needs help – and needs help right away.
All proceeds from this GoFundMe account will be used to replace Ann's lost income, fund her portion of household expenses, and pay the medical bills.
