As most of you know my Uncle Jimmy (Jim Lange) has had multiple strokes that began in late November last year. He spent over three months in UNC Chapel Hill Hospital recovering with alot of ups and downs and finally was moved to Liberty Commons Skilled Nursing on Racine Drive in Wilmington, N.C. Before the strokes he had completely recovered from alcoholism, was working and managing the Christian Recovery House on Racine Drive helping others to beat their addictions and leading them in bible studies, making sure they attended church, and he absolutely loved every minute of this journey he was on. But God had other plans for Jim, and our entire family has faith the He will see him thru this process of recovery. It's a miracle that he even lived thru the multiple strokes and for that he gives God the glory! He has lost most of his sight, his thought process is compromised, he has limited use of both hands and a feeding tube to help with his swallowing issues that are slowly returning, PTL! Jim's disability leaves him 30.00 a month after the nursing home bill is paid each month so we need to try and raise enough funds to not only pay off his medical bills that were not covered prior to his disability, but to get him additional therapy, physical and occupational as well as help walking him so his atrophy wont progress any further. He is so very thankful for all the prayers, visits, phone calls and most of all his family for all the sacrifices they have given in coming to help him, lifting him up when he has been down, pushing him to not give up, constantly reminding him that he can do this. This was not an easy choice for Jimmy or our family but we know that without financial help he will continue to decline with atrophy and not be able to improve, as that small window of time is closing in. God Bless you all for helping Jimmy!!
