In May, we booked artists to play the 25th Annual Fargo Blues Fest when COVID cases were rapidly declining in ND. We paid band deposits at the time and decided to move forward. We also assumed the Canadian border would open and COVID cases would continue to decline. That never happened. Then we had a downpour on Friday morning which hurt already bad ticket sales. We lost about 400 ticket sales because the border never opened. We wanted to provide a safe event for the FM area/region, but due to unforeseen circumstances, our family event lost a considerable amount of money. We would have lost even more money than we did if we canceled the event, due to lost band deposits, expenses paid upfront, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated so we can move forward with any future events.
