It’s with great sadness that this GoFund me has been created. Tragically, after battling Leukemia over 4 years, Luis Fernando passed away at his hospital in Mexico City last night. This La Ventana local was 24 years old. His family has been fighting his cancer with everything they had, and are left with small medical bills, their hotel stay bills, and now are bringing their money together to afford to bring him back and burry their son, and loved one, in La Ventana’s cemetery. I know COVID times are tough financially for many, imagine what it’s like for a La Ventana family with no fishing or tourism right now. Bringing a body back costs about 3x what I am asking for, I just don’t want to overshoot the goal because I want to get the family this money ASAP. Thank you to all who have helped Luis Fernando at any time throughout his battle. Lots of love to the Aviles and Leon family.
