Patty Davis Medical Fund

This is the original incident from March of 2020.

"Patty is in the hospital. I'm writing today to ask everyone to pray for Patty Davis. She fell on Saturday the 28th of March and broke her neck in 3 places. She is currently in the ICU unit of Torrance Memorial Hospital and is paralyzed from the waist down. She had surgery to relieve the pressure on her spinal cord from the disc between C6 & C7. She is slowly re gaining some of her sensory but it is a slow process. She is at this very moment having difficulty breathing and is on a ventilator. I cant be with her because of the virus, the hospital is on lockdown. No visitation at all. Shes alone. Prayers are good, also calling and leaving her a message would be helpful so she knows she is not alone. She is in ICU 4128. This has been an incredibly rough year for us. In January we were given notice that one of our three horses had to leave. Then we started spending all free time fixing the barn next door to move our oldest paint horse (Chama) over. Then on March 2 2020 Chama suddenly died within a span of 12 hours. While dealing with this horrible tragedy out dessert tortoise suddenly disappeared and has not been back since. Then Patty's accident happened. The next morning I came back to the barn alone to find that all of our chickens had been killed and eaten by what looks like raccoons. I was in a panic with Patty's accident and never shut the coop. Not a good year at all and its just beginning. Thank ya for reading this and god bless ya.

UPDATE: Patty is now in ICU 4147. They previously moved her to the COVID 19 ward because her fever jumped to 103 degrees. She did test negative, so they have moved her back to regular ICU after 2 days in COVID. When she gets out of the hospital, she will need a ton of medical equipment which will be difficult to obtain with no med insurance. They have done her paperwork for Medi-Cal but I have no idea how long that will take to start or how much they will help. Also without Patty's small income it will be very difficult to pay the rent for our horses. This is all new territory for me to cover so any help is appreciated. Patty has started regaining small amounts of feeling throughout her body and has progressed enough to be able to use a wheelchair to a small extent. She still works everyday trying to walk again. Thank ya all who have donated and to all who have sent prayers for her recovery.
