Update on Jason Pingleton. He is still dependent on the vent for breathing. Tomorrow they are going to do a tracheotomy and place a PEG tube. He is also currently on IV antibiotics for pneumonia. Jason Pingleton is Still unable to move all body parts besides his head (which is limited by neck brace) and he is able to perform right elbow flexion. Has been placed on Ativan for anxiety.
No progress thus far, however he is cognitively aware of what is going on and still answers yes/no questions.
Hi everyone, as you probably heard Jason was involved in a very serious car accident the night of August 9th that caused his vehicle to overturn. The doctors did what they could but it looks like he will be paralyzed from the neck down for the rest of his life. He is applying for medical aid so at this point we are just asking for donations to help take care of his two children, one of which is autistic. Being paralyzed Jason obviously can’t return to work and was only given a 10% chance to get any movement back to his arms. Jason is a graduate of Skyline High School in Urbana and has been a part of the community for a long time as has his entire family. It’s during these times that we need to come together to help our own. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
