I, John McBain, of Okinawa, Japan, have been selected to represent the United States of America and participate in the Apeldoorn Tournament with Student Athlete World. Players from all over the USA will join together to compete on an international stage in July 2016. This educational and athletic experience of a lifetime will give me the oportunity to explore new cultures, give me a better understanding of the world, allow me to meet people from all over the world, and learn valuable life lessons through international travel. 

Players are chosen for this trip from a pool of applicants around the country based on a combination of athletic attributes, as well as leadership abilities, and character. 

In order for this trip to be a success I need to raise $5,500 to cover my portion of team expenses, food, and travel. Any donation you can give would go directly towards my expenses. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for me to participate in an international sport competition.

We'll do our best to show good sportmanship and represent the USA with class.

Being that I am a military child, living in Japan for the past 11 years, it has been a bit more difficult to get the exposure for me to get in front of scouts who can assist me in playing college baseball. 

I only have a few weeks to raise the funds for me to be able to go on this once in a lifetime trip.
