Yarison Ford — Mongol Rally 2016

THE RALLY

The Mongol Rally thunders 10,000 miles across the mountains, deserts and borders of Europe and Asia each summer. There’s no backup, no support and no set route; just a team, a tiny car and a thirst for adventure.

The rules of the Rally are gloriously simple…

1. You can only take a farcically small, inappropriate vehicle with a 1 litre engine
2. You’re completely on your own
3. You've got to raise cash for charity

TEAM YARISON FORD

Allow us to introduce ourselves — Team Yarison Ford. Comprised of Sam Allcock; a handsome chap with a taste for danger, and Jack Rice; a creative daredevil on two wheels. A pair of uni-mates, with a few years of braving it out in the real world, looking for the next big adventure. Previous escapades include taking a 20-year old Mondeo down to the heart of Spain in the height of summer. Hot.

Now it’s just a bit further, in a slightly less appropriate car with a few more chances for spectacular stories!


THE CHARITIES

Not only is the Mongol Rally an industrial dose of adventure, it’s also about helping save the world. We’re raising funds for two incredible charities; Cool Earth for our environmental cause and Cancer Research UK for our humanitarian. To date The Adventurists have raised a whopping £5.5 million for charity, saving the world one rainforest at a time. Not because we’re tree hugging sandal weavers, but because the world would be sh*t without them.

The first £1,000 raised will go directly to the charities, along with any left-over funds from the trip. We also want to be as open as possible, if you’d like your entire donation to just go to the charities put #charity in your comment. Don’t worry, we’ll GiftAid all  donations too to get the most we can from your generosity!
