Aloha! My name is Niko Powell. I am a member of Nā Kelamoku, a group of youth from around Hawaii started by the Polynesian Voyaging Society, trying to improve our islands and spread the word of sustainability and Mālama Honua - care for our Island Earth.
I have been asked to represent Nā Kelamoku and the youth of Hawaii at the upcoming Martha's Vineyard Youth Leadership Summit 2016 (http://soup4worldinstitute.com/summits/). The Summit is a weeklong intensive that will bring youth delegates from all over the world to come and share their knowledge and learn about sustainability so that we can bring it back to help our communities at home.
It's exciting that the Hokule'a Worldwide Voyage will be on Martha's Vineyard for the Summit. I will be part of the official welcoming group who will educate all the Summit youth delegates about the Hokule'a.
All donations will go towards the cost to participate at the Summit and travel.
Mahalo nui for your time and support.
Niko
