Hi, my name is Jackeline and I am the daughter of Laura, a mother of 4. My family was recently exposed to Covid-19 but, while my brothers and I got better and recovered quickly, my mother progressively got worse. It first began with pain and numbness in her body which eventually led to her being paralyzed. We took her to the E.R. and to the hospital twice. The second time 911 was called and she was then admitted into the hospital on August 3, 2020. August 10, 2020 was my mother’s birthday and she is still hospitalized today, August 13, 2020. The doctors are not able to find anything else that would cause this in my mother. They’ve done MRI and CT scans and all types of test but nothing else was found. Covid-19 is the reason she is paralyzed. She is getting better slowly but surely! When she returns home several changes will have to be made such as using a wheelchair, installing bars to help her move around, and even the addition of ramps. She will also be going to physical therapy for her to learn how to use her body again. The donations will be used towards my mothers hospital bills, physical therapy, medications, and any modifications needed at home. This has taken a huge toll on my entire family but I know with the support that we have that we will be able to get through this. Anything helps, especially sharing!
