I’m writing this with a heavy heart as I try to find words for something that should never have happened. Kenzie (17) and Hunter (15) Ellison’s father, Josh, was tragically taken from us on the morning of October 30th.
It’s hard to imagine how they’ll move forward without their dad’s love, laughter, and support. I saw firsthand how much Josh loved his children. I want to do whatever I can to help make sure they’re cared for — that they have what they need for school, counseling, and daily life as they begin to heal from this unimaginable loss.
As a close family friend of 25 + years, I’ve created this fundraiser to support Kenzie and Hunter and their family through this painful time. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward their needs and future. Both Kenzie and Hunter are actively involved in their school community and in competitive sports. These funds will help pay the fees associate with these that include participation fees to travel fees. Kenzie is a senior and will graduate in May. There are a number of expenses that are associated with graduating from cap/gown to college visits. We will use these funds to help with medical bills associated with this trauma. These funds will assist Jamie in adjusting to taking on expenses as a sole provider for the kids with increased medical premiums to basic needs.
If you’re unable to give, please consider sharing this page or keeping the family in your prayers.
Josh was deeply loved, and I know he’d be grateful to see his community come together for his children. From the bottom of my heart — thank you for your kindness, generosity, and love.
