Prayers for Neufeld Family-
Donation protected
My name is Melissa, I am a friend and sister in Christ to Mandy and Jeremy Neufeld. Mandy suffered a very serious stroke during labour on May 4, 2016.
I had anxiously been awaiting the text from Mandy to hear of the birth of their 1st child. She was so excited for this little one to come. Instead of receiving a text from Mandy, I woke up on May 5th to find this post from her husband Jeremy:
"Last night, May 4th at 9:05pm, my wife Mandy gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Emily Sophia Neufeld after an extremely difficult labour. At some point while labouring Mandy suffered a stroke. It was not identified until after the baby was born. She has lost the ability to speak and the use of her right arm and leg. She is fully conscious and aware. Using nonverbal communication, it is clear that she understands what is happening. The doctors have said that the next 3-6 days will be critical to her recovery....."
When tragedy hits, we all desire to help ease the burden. If you are feeling this desire, please consider donating to this family! Any amount would be a huge blessing and so appreciated! There are so many unknowns for this family. Today Emily was released from the hospital. Jeremy has the joy and the pain of bringing her home and figuring out how to care for their precious baby girl, as Mandy remains in a very serious condition in the hopsital.
Please continue to pray for this family. Jeremy stated "God is sovereign in this and while I trust His plans are good, I am begging that he restore Mandy's body quickly. That she will be able to be the mother to our daughter that she deeply desires to be."
"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurable more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." Ephesians 3:20
