Hello Everyone- Most of you know my story begins with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic which like for many took away my ability to work in my field. Last Wednesday, my Doctor ordered several blood panels and an imaging test- here’s test results as of today: - heart failure: Heart failure, sometimes known as congestive heart failure, occurs when your heart muscle doesn't pump blood as well as it should. Certain conditions, such as narrowed arteries in your heart (coronary artery disease) or high blood pressure, gradually leave your heart too weak or stiff to fill and pump efficiently. - diabetes: A group of diseases that result in too much sugar in the blood (high blood glucose) A1C of 12 - sleep apnea: Sleep apnea is a potentially serious sleep disorder in which breathing repeatedly stops and starts. If you snore loudly and feel tired even after a full night's sleep, you might have sleep apnea. The main types of sleep apnea are: Obstructive sleep apnea, the more common form that occurs when throat muscles relax. - chronic cough - edema: Edema is swelling caused by excess fluid trapped in your body's tissues. Although edema can affect any part of your body, you may notice it more in your hands, arms, feet, ankles and legs. I am currently barely able to walk or stand for any period of time because of the swelling, unsteady on my feet and trying to keep it together. As if this wasn’t enough, there’s something going on with my unemployment - I wasn’t paid and can’t get through to find out what’s going on. The Dr. has advised me to check myself in at the ER so that everything can conveniently be assessed at 1 time. I love and care for each of you in this community.
