When tradgedy strikes, no one is ever fully prepared. It brings heartache, greif, pain, fear, disbelief and financial stuggle, but it also brings out the best in people. It brings us together in loving support of one another.
Kirsten is a very special friend of mine an so many others. Those of you who know her, know she is one of the most loyal, fun loving and giving people, always looking for ways to pay it forward.
On Tuesday, August 23rd, 2016, Kirsten's 2 kids lost their father in a tragic motorcycle accident. Although no one wants to think of monetary needs during this time, it is just apart of reality. Kirsten has been a single mom for many years, but the kid's dad has been largely responsible for providing for them financially, allowing her to be available to raise them.
One of they most heartbreaking things for me during this time is not being able to fix this. No one can. But what we can do is work together to help take some of the burden off of Kirsten as she spends this time helping her children survive and heal. Lets help by allowing her to focus her attention on being there to meet their emotional needs without worrying about how she will provide for them financially.
I've set the goal at $10,000 which will cover the total loss of child support for the first year.
Thank you all so much for your love and support, it does not go unnoticed!
