Hello,
This campaign is to help raise funds that will be used to cover medical costs for Baby Steven Rey Rodriguez.
On January 13, 2016, Steven R. Rodriguez was born weighing at 8 lbs. 9 oz. During birth, baby Steven had difficulty coming out of the mother's birth canal, which caused him to lose Oxygen. It is unknown the exact time that baby Steven stopped breathing but was quickly admitted into ICU and a cooling treatment was started. The cooling treatment is administered to prevent swelling of the brain. Unfortunately during the treatment other complications arose.
As of this moment, a large muscle was found around his heart, along with liquid in his lungs, and urine in his kidneys. There is swelling in the brain and body as a result of what the baby has been going through. Baby Steven had also displayed seizure like symptoms due to the swelling.
We are asking for any donation which will help with medical costs. The family foresees that not all treatments will be covered by their insurance and it is unknown at this point how much longer or what further treatments/examinations will be required to help baby Steven get better and allowed to go home.
The family will greatly appreciate the help as both parents have been along side of their baby during this critical moment and neither parent has been able to work.
Please keep baby Steven R. Rodriguez and parents in your prayers and we appreciate your donation
"So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
Isaiah 41:10
