Hello,
My name is Maximiliano Ramirez. I am writing this page on behalf of two of the greatest friends one can ask for, Mimi and Efrain Ibarra. I have known Mimi and Efrain for about 20 years now and they have been together for almost as long as I've known them. I cannot imagine one without the other. Mimi and Efrain are both hard working and productive people in our community, who are considered a true example for others. They have never hesitated to reach out to others in a time of need. Unfortunately, life has it's unexpected twists and turns. Recently, Mimi was diagnosed with cancer and she is now having to fight a battle with this vicious and merciless disease that many of us have had to deal with in some way, be it with our own loved ones or through friends. This battle is one that cannot be dealt with alone. As her friend, and someone who just lost a father to cancer, I cannot stand by without doing something for a great friend in a time of need. I am forever grateful to have had so much support during my father's battle with cancer and now I'm trying to do the same for another friend in need.
Mimi, who is just 35, recently underwent a long surgery to remove a cancerous tumor from her leg and will soon begin extensive treatments with radiation and chemotherapy in efforts to fight off this demon of a disease. Both Mimi and Efrain have had to deal with this very disease with their own parents, so cancer is no stranger in their family.
Mimi and Efrain have long wanted to start their own family and love children very much. However, due to the treatments Mimi is soon to begin, there is a likelihood she will never experience the luxory of mothering a child. As such, Mimi and Efrain are having to explore other options so that they can have a possibility to have children in the future. These procedures along with the costs for her treatments are very expensive and I am asking others to help me fund Mimi and Efrain. With our help, they can have some relief with their medical expenses. They may also experience the privilege of becoming parents. I cannot think of two better people who deserve nothing more than to be parents, and with our help we can help make that a possibility.
