Matt's Headstone

I don't know if people will donate because Matt was an addict. That's no secret and everyone knows. A lot of people have strong feelings about addicts, including myself. When you put aside the drugs Matt was an awesome person. He really truly was. Yes, he had a lot of problems and struggled for a very long time. I know that deep down he wanted to be a better person. I'm sure people will read this and think no he was just a junkie or whatever your opinion is, but I don't care. He was lost and couldn't find his way. People can change if they want to and maybe he wasn't ready for it yet. I believe everything happens for a reason and my brother is at peace now. I just want people to always try and guide their love ones when they need help. They are the only ones who can change themselves, but you can help when they reach out. It's a tough thing to deal with and its hard to know how to deal with an addict. We are going to get Matt a nice headstone with his picture and probably mushrooms on it because that is Matt. Of course, there are a lot of people that could use the money for a better cause. This is for my family and the ones that knew the good in him and loved him.
