Who Am I?
My name is Joshua. My wife and bestest friend, Joni, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer on June 23rd, 2015.

The news was devastating to my wife and I, but also to our kids. Here's the announcement I made to my YouTube audience:
The outpouring of support from friends and family members was outstanding and helped us get through the eight months of chemo and surgery that followed. As of December 28th, 2015 (and in the subsequent follow-up in March), there are no further signs of cancer!
The Situation
Unfortunately, it's now time to pay the piper...and he's being a demanding jerk. Sadly, my wife was without a paycheck for a couple months so we've been getting by on my paycheck alone. But now almost all of the medical bills have come due at the same time, some even going to collections with no notice and we're getting buried.
In addition to all of this, my oldest daughter has increasing insurance costs that she cannot handle right now on her school budget and needs medication of her own. Her mom and I are willing to help, but that adds another cost.
And finally (hopefully), the water pump on my car has given up the ghost so we're down to one car for all commuting, errands, etc.
What We've Done So Far
We have contacted all of the doctors and hospitals to try to work out financial aid or payment plans. Many of them have been accommodating and have worked with us, but the month-to-month payments still mean we're having to figure out what other bills get deferred.
And, unfortunately, the mechanic nor my daughter's insurance will work with us on a payment plan.
What Will Your Money Do?
The money you donate will be used to eliminate the oustanding debt to medical institutions, replace the water pump on my vehicle, and reinstate my daughter's insurance.
When Do We Need It?
The immediate need is $1000 to fix the car and get insurance reinstated. We need the rest of the funds as soon as possible, but our goal would be to have the remaining by June 3rd, 2016
What It Means to Us
When the news first broke, what our friends and family did for us was immense. Everything they did reduced stress and helped ease a very heavy burden. It's embarrassing to have to admit that you're struggling financially and I even resisted creating this campaign.
But we need help.
I'm not sure I can find the words to describe how much stress it would relieve to know that we will be able to have these things paid off, breathe easier, and begin to restabilize financially.
Our family (Me, Joni, and our four kids) has been through a lot. If there's anything I can do to help ease their burden, including swallowing my pride, I'll do it. Our gratitude would be immeasurable and you can bet that a thank you video with all of us will be going up on YouTube if our goal here is met.
Thank you for donating. Thank you for helping us.
