Message from our cousin Annette: As many may have figured out, My siblings, Dan and Sandra and I, have lost our beautiful mom yesterday at 12:30pm. My mother contracted COVID 19 at a local freestanding ER after we were forced to take her with a severe respiratory infection. She had COPD and often got respiratory infections. She was admitted to hospital July 22nd and fought hard but her poor tired body could no longer. The thought of losing my Mom would always shake me to my core. My heart would always break when I'd hear or read of others that had lost their mothers. Yesterday, it became my reality. My heart and world are shattered right now. My Mom was more than my mother, she was my best friend, partner in crime, confidante, and always my greatest supporter/cheerleader. I will miss her immensely. My only consolation is that I know she is rejoicing in God's glory with her parents, sister/brothers and family....

Today, our nightmare continues...my Dad had been hospitalized at the same hospital as Mom with COVID as well, but didn't get really ill until this weekend. My Dad suffered a cardiac arrest yesterday 1 1/2 hrs after my Mom's passing..(he was not told she had passed). He survived but very critical. Unfortunately, he went into cardiac arrest again today but didn't make it. My Dad was a wonderful man. He was a kind, sweet and gentle soul. He spoiled me rotten and he was the best Dad any girl could have. My heart aches so much with losing him...i just hope he knows just how much I / We loved him!
In less than 24hrs, I have lost both of my parents to COVID and it's complications.
If this doesn't put things into perspective for you and how serious this all is, I dont know what will. Please I URGE all of you to please wear your masks, social distance, wash your hands and take this seriously! This is no joke! I am devastated...I don't wish this on any of you. God bless us all. Until I see you again, Mom and Daddy...I hope you're dancing together in heaven. I love you both so much! ❤
