Beryl Dehart RN needs our help!!
Hi, I'm Reva Henegar and my neighbor and friend, Beryl Dehart, needs our help!!
Beryl is a 59 years old RN from Mandeville, LA. Beryl underwent a stem cell transplant with chemotherapy 4yrs ago at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN for a very rare disease process call AL renal amyloidisis. The treatment for this disease is similar to treating multiple myeloma. After treatment Beryl went into a brief period of partial remission. Because of the severity of the diease process Beryl must be consistently monitored on a weekly basis by her local oncologist and make arrangements to travel to MN at least once a year. Recently Beryl's condition has deteriorated. She is experiencing new symptoms including renal problems along with swelling to her legs and feet. Beryl's only dependent is herself. She has worked many years as a nurse but has recently taken unscheduled and unpaid days off work which has made things very difficult for her. Within the last couple of years Beryl has been hospitalized twice due to the disease progression process. It has been discovered that her illness has spread to her small and large intestine. She is now recieving chemotherapy more often. The mounting medical bills and additional travel expenses has put great financial strain on Beryl's everyday life. Any donations would greatly help Beryl continue her fight to battle this diease.
Thank You very much!!
