The Call for McKeehan's Cause

Donation protected
Hi my name is George Hettinger and raising funds for my fellow brother and sister in faith Paul and Stacy Spragg's son McKeehan.  I wanted to do something to help ease their burden and bring some relief in some way because they are the closest people I have that are family to me in Iowa.  I have known them for over six years.   I am originally from Kentucky but moved to Iowa in 1996 and curently employed at DuPont Pioneer as a microbiologist, and I am a Gulf War Veteran as well.  I currently live in Urbandale Iowa.

Some background information about the campaign. McKeehan is the only child of Paul and Stacy Spragg and he is 17 years old and will be 18 on September 22nd.  McKeehan is a great musician, good student, and very active in his church and community.  This year he is a senoir in high school at Carlisle Iowa.  He had planned to join the military after graduation.  Unfortunately on September 11, 2016, McKeehan had a terrible automobile accident early Sunday morning around 12:30-1am while driving from Norwalk to Carlisle.  He dozed off while at the wheel and drove off the road and his car rolled over at least four times.  Fortunately, he did survive thanks to driver and side impact airbags.  The officer at the scene said it was amazing he survived such a horrible accident.  McKeehan was rushed to Iowa Methodist Hospital  in Des Moines, and is currently in the ICU.  McKeehan's injuries are quite extensive.  We have learned from the neurosurgeons and specialists that he fractured his T2-T3 vertebrate and the trauma to the spinal cord is severe and chances of McKeehan being able to walk again look bleak.  Thursday he will be having surgery to fuse his fractured vertebrate so he will be able to sit up.  McKeehan's recovery will be long and challenging with intense physical therapy and adapting to his new way life.

All the funds raised will be used for McKeehan's medical bills including the surgeries needed, physical therapy, modifications needed for his home and necessities required for persons with this serious injury, and help improve his life.   We have been told by the staff that he maybe staying at the Iowa Methodist Hospital for two months due to the intensive phyiscal therapy before he is released.

I decided to start this Go-Fund-Me Campaign because Paul and Stacy are gravely concerned and pre-occupied with the processing the results and tests and discussions with the great staff at Iowa Methodist Hospital.  All funds raised from this campaign will be sent and used by Paul and Stacy Spragg.  They will be the designated beneficiary and have control when and how funds will be withdrawn. I will not be receiving any of the funds and re-directing them to their accounts.

The Spragg's as well as myself will be grateful and blessed with any amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated and will help the Spragg Family in their critical time and help ease the financial strains that they will surely encounter.   They are a great devoted family with a grateful heart.   Please feel free to share this with anyone you may know that would like to help as well, and thank you again for your thoughts and prayers.
