Shannon Richardson treatment fund

Donation protected
Shannon Richardson was recently diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer. During a complete thyroidectomy, 11 lymphnodes were removed for biopsy and damage to the parathyroid was discovered. Upon biopsy, 7 of the 11 lymphnodes removed contained cancer cells. It is somewhat common for lymphnodes in the immediate area to be affected, however, testing must still be done to see if it has metastasized to any other areas. After this, an iodine based chemotherapy will be administered to destroy any remaining thyroid originating cancer cells in the body.
Shannon and her husband are both employed full time and have 2 children. Without including time away from work and the many extra items needed for comfort and care in a new situation, this one treatment will cost upwards of $15,000 out of pocket after insurance.
If you are able to, please help to alleviate the financial stress they are experiencing with any amount you can spare.
Even more importantly, please share your hope, love, optimism, positive thoughts, jokes, or whatever you've got during this frightening and unpredictable time.
Emotional support and words of encouragement are priceless in the face of this fight.
Through this support, we can help her and her family to focus that precious energy on staying positive and kicking cancers ass!
