Alicia needs a little help

Hello everyone. We all have those moments when we need a little help. I remember needing that help and Alicia was the first to step up. This is not unusual for her. She is a helper, often at her own expense and sacrifice. 

After being diagnosed with degenerative disc disease in 2005, she has spent the last 11 years living with pain that turned chronic 18 months ago.
As most of you know, she spends countless hours on her feet in her studio, "Orabella Color Studio" in Oakland, CA.
She is undergoing a SI joint fusion. The surgery takes about 3 hours and she will be out of work for at least 6 weeks and is not able to return to work full time for up to 3 months.
Unfortunately, beign self employed and no longer paying into disability, she has been forced to save what she can to sustain she and her beautiful daughter (my niece, Arianna).  She is one of many single mom's out there doing their best with one income.
However, not only is she about to undergo a pretty painful surgery, but the date has been moved up unexpectedly leaving little time to get the rest of her finances saved up for her post op care and expenses.
We all know her, we all love her and for me personaly, she is the sibling I always wanted and needed in my life. We have considered each other "brother and sister" for over 34 years!
Whatever you may be able to donate would be greatly appreciated. The money will be used for her living expenses and to take care of her daughter while she is recovering from this surgery.

I am happy to be here for her during this difficult time while going through my own. This is what "family" is about.
